Bosun’s Wharf is a fictitious quay side located on a southern English tidal river set in the 1960s If you look at a map of any great port around Britain, Europe or the world for that matter, away from the hustle and bustle of the main port i.e. large liners and large cargo ships there is still a lot going on, small wharfs and quays which are the home of the humble coaster and ships on the home trade.

Bosun’s Wharf is home to a grain terminal, an oil unloading depot and a dry dock which is currently in use with a damaged coaster that has been holed and is listing. The nearby ship repairers will soon be busy.

A variety of industrial steam and diesel locos can be seen operating around the dock side.
